  I love the idiots who say "the place looks run down" or my favorite "Pollo Loco is 100x better".
  Are you kidding me!? The Loco place doesn't even come close! Everybody knows that corporate processed chicken is the last thing you should compare to Pollo Dieta! We've all seen those processing plant videos. That's why we drive 35 miles from Palm Springs to get here! Yes, is dated inside, but it's clean, and they make the best bbq chicken in the valley. If you have time the best day is Sunday for the 2x1 special, and yes, bring cash only to pay. Don't miss the sides either. Potato salad and chocolate cake are good too. The pineapple drink is great too, and you can get a Corona too!
  So if you want pretty tables and chairs and staff that could care less if you lived or died, head for Pollo Loco! That will make for a shorter line ahead of us. You won't be missed.
  UPDATE: The owners are in the process of updating the interior. New ceiling, new light fixtures, and new booths and chairs, even freshly painted walls! It's now safe for you "amateur  interior designers" to eat here!
  Hurry down prima Donna's. Be sure to bring your Architectural Digests with you!!

  I've ordered on phone and in person and the wait time is reasonable. The fact that you can see the chicken being made let's you know how fresh off the grill your meal is . The staff is friendly and quick with the long lines . One con to this place is it doesn't accept debit or credit . I have a feeling they switch it up soon due to the popularity tho .

  Chicken is still amazing after years and years of being customers. A road-trip tradition with the family as a rest and grub location when headed to Mexicali. The potato salad taste fresh and is just right, although the chicken size seems to shrink every time. A renovation could help the experience as from the 15+ years of visiting this place has been extremely outdated. A minor suggestion no biggie as long as my chicken is good!

  Great tasting chicken.. The reason am not giving them 5 stars is because they still dont take cards... This place is cash only. Which is ok right.. If you carry cash. On weekends its buy one get one free. Their salsa is the best!

  This one of the best places we visit to get some good chicken. We have been coming to this spot ever since I can remember.
  
  The restaurant looks old school and it has been the same from what I remember. The place is very clean. The employees are friendly and nice.
  They cook their chicken on these biggo grills that you can see through the windows.
  The food can be pricy too. The prices start from $8 to $30 for some chicken unless you take advantage of their BOGO on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
  They are still old school because they do not accepts cards, just cash. Do not forget your cash! This is the reason why I took a star away.
  
  Now let's get to the chicken. I had a 4 piece Combo plates. Boy! The chicken here is delicious! It is seasoned the right way and it's juicy and tender! It hits the spot!
  The combo comes with your choice of Spanish Rice, Beans, Potato Salad, Coleslaw and other choices. We had the Spanish Rice and Beans. The Spanish Rice is not that good in my opinion. The beans are good though!
  Don't forget your drink. They start from $1 to $1.89. It sucks that they do not offer refills.
  
  Overall, if you want to enjoy some juicy and tender chicken, try the Diet Chicken. You will not regret it! Oh, don't forget your cash
